In the Country

Ambitious, original and epic. These are the superlatives used when the jazz trio In the Country is reviewed by the music press. Their third record "Whiteout" (2009) has figured on the "year's best albums" lists, both in National and International music press. Ever since the trio won the National Competition JazzIntro, In the Country has distinguished themselves as one of the most distinctive bands in Norway. With the live version of “Whiteout” In the Country has expanded their trio with Andreas Mjøs (from Jaga Jazzist) on vibraphone and guitar. The band borrows moods from prog as well as pop. With a beautiful video and lighting design by Nico Benz, this concert will get a touch of film noir.
