Ola Kvernberg Trio

Ola Kvernberg Trio plays an indescribable mix of bebop, folk, bluegrass and modal jazz. With an unusual dynamic interaction, the result is unique: everything from the wildest energy explosions to the extremely delicate and melancholy. This is a unique live band. More than three years have passed since Ola Kvernberg Trio’s debut album "Night Driver" amazed the critics. The trio's latest album "Folk" (2009) is yet another triumph.

Fiddle player and composer Ola Kvernberg is an active and attractive musician with a big range, who in recent years has worked with musicians like Joshua Redman, Erlend Skomsvoll, Stian Carstensen, Thomas Dybdahl and Jo Nesbø and written music for the film NORD. Ola Kvernberg Trio give the audience presence, energy and playfulness of three strong musical voices.
